Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Cheers Bartenders ("we", "us") operates the Cheers Platform. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, building a profile, posting events or gigs, sending booking or hiring requests, or contacting us. This may include name, email address, profile and venue details, photos you upload, and message content related to bookings or applications. When you subscribe or pay overage fees, Stripe processes payment details; we receive billing metadata (such as customer and subscription IDs, plan, and payment status), not full card numbers.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to operate and improve the Platform, authenticate accounts, send verification and password-reset emails, process memberships and related fees, show public directory and event information you choose to publish, facilitate booking and hiring workflows between users, and comply with law. We may send transactional emails about your account and activity.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with other users when needed for listings, applications, and bookings you participate in; with service providers that help us run the Platform (including hosting, email delivery, analytics when enabled, and Stripe for payments); and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. Stripe's use of payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate business, tax, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where we are required or permitted to keep them.

6. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also unsubscribe from marketing messages where applicable; transactional messages required to operate your account may still be sent.

8. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. When configured, we also offer Google Analytics 4 (loaded only if you accept analytics cookies via the on-site banner) and Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights to understand traffic, page performance, and how the Platform is used. These tools may collect device and usage data such as pages visited and approximate location. Analytics are enabled only when the corresponding environment variables are set for a deployment.

9. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email when appropriate.
